Charlie Waithe
Charlie is known currently as one of UK's leading landscape photographers. His work is best known for the great use of lighting the the way he captures colour in his photographs. His photographs convey a peaceful and calm feel. They adore nature. The second images demonstrates a technique called leading lines. The Tree leads our eyes to a certain point in the pictures.Where as the the first image this uses the same techniques but is approached in a different way, the lines lead us around the river , and makes the viewer want to discover what is round the curve where the river and the trees are leading us.
The use of colour and light in these images catch my eyes straight away. The reflections from the river is so effective. The pictures set a calm peaceful feel.Nature is presented in a beautiful way and makes the viewer realise how beautiful creation and nature actually is.The light which come formt he sky is beautiful it's a bright yellow light as thought the image was taken in the morning has the sun is about to rise.
My first Shoot.
I manage to achive some good shoots.
With this images I tried to experimented with leading lines the stairs guided us the subject of the image. The image is not central and starts form the bottom left side of the image the top right.
In the first image I croped the ending of the trees howeve I really liked the lighting which was reflecting from the tree. However this pictures was over exposed if we take a look at the bench, the light reflecting the bench is far to bright. I had my setting on on the ISO 3200.
The images makes great use of leading lines your eyese wonder all the way to the point where the tree stop.
For my next shoot I will go to arnot park and photographs different locations around the park.I will check my setting to make sure they are on the suitbale setting in order to avoid over exposing my images.I will also experiment with photographing differnt times of the day which will affect the lighting and also photograph rivers to see if I can achive the reflections used in Charlie Waithe photogrpahy.
